Fwd: Christmas Dinner Asian Inspired 2013

Teriyaki Marinated Beef Ribs- Smoked 5 hours

Dim Sum Menu- Firecracker Shrimp in Spring Roll fried in peanut oil..with a sweet chilli sauce dip

Beef Dumpling- Beef Steak-minced , add onion chopped fine,sesame oil, fresh grated ginger ,organic soy sauce, hoisen sauce,pepper
Wheat starch dough we put through the pasta machine for a thin consistency.. place teaspoon or so of meat mixture on the round dough cut out, wet edge with water, fan fold and seal.

Pot Stickers- Napa cabbage sliced thin, salt and let sit to draw out water, mix ground pork ( we used smoked pork butt minced),
ginger, soy, sesame oil, wheat starch dough

Shrimp dumpling with Rice/Tapioca Dough-Minced or use chopped fresh shrimp, ginger, soy, teriayki

Barbeque Buns-Smoked pork butt shredded , homemade BBQ sauce with orange juice and grated orange.. marinate pork in the sauce... take yeast dough roll out.. make rounds, place bbq meat in the center , make a pocket or bun.. proof in steamer for half an hour then full steam for about 12 minutes..

What a great way to spend time with family creating, cooking and eating great food!
